At 8pm, just a short walk away, we'll gather at Sea Turtle Oversight Protection (S.T.O.P.) headquarters to continue a night of networking, education and conservation! Take time to browse our sustainable gifts for your loved ones.

At 8:30pm, our educational "Turtle Talk" begins.

We start with a presentation about sea turtles, their habitats, and threats they face. Then participants walk the beach with Sea Turtle Oversight Protection staff. During the walk, staff will explain how & why nests are protected, about their incubation cycle and what commonly happens to the hatchlings on a densely urbanized beach like Fort Lauderdale. We’ll discuss hatchling disorientation due to artificial lights, why this occurs and what you can do to make a difference.    Them we'll proceed to the sand for the "Beach Walk" portion of the evening.
