Sea Turtle Oversight Protection (S.T.O.P.) is proud to participate as an exhibitor at the 2026 Earth Day Celebration, hosted by the Broward Sierra Group. This free, community-focused event brings together science, storytelling, and advocacy around one essential truth: Water is at the center of everything.

Held at the stunning Anne Kolb Nature Center, the day will explore how organic contaminants travel through South Florida’s waterways, aquifers, and drinking water and ultimately impact wildlife and human health. From expert-led talks to hands-on exhibits, this early Earth Day gathering invites the public to learn, connect, and take responsibility for protecting our shared environment.

Why S.T.O.P. Is There

As a sea turtle conservation and rescue organization, S.T.O.P.’s work is directly tied to water quality, coastal health, and habitat protection. At our exhibitor table, you can:

  • Learn how pollution and water contamination affect sea turtles and other marine life

  • Explore ways to reduce everyday impacts on coastal ecosystems

  • Discover how to support or get involved with sea turtle conservation in Fort Lauderdale and beyond

Healthy water means healthy turtles, and healthy turtles are a sign that our ecosystems are still fighting to survive.
